I am well aware of the nasty externalities of freebies, but I still like these two gifts, a reusable shopper from my favourite greengrocer of my favourite marketplace (Italy joins civilized Europe tomorrow, in banning disposable plastic bags)
and a mug from the dairy (latteria) near my parents’ house (the now warn-out dishcloth was last year’s gift)
