Back in 1989 in Reggio Emilia a violin was smashed during a performance involving Nam June Paik. I wasn’t there for some reason, but I wasn’t very far either. Since then this smashed violin has belonged to a private collection and is now on display in Modena, at the Nam June Paik in Italia exhibit. Photography is not allowed, but I have copied for you the words handwritten on the inside of the body.

The exhibit in Modena features a wide array of works and a large section is about Charlotte Moorman.
