Remember the decline of the Roman Empire, or Thomas Buddenbrook building a new family house while his Mittel-European bourgeois wealth was vanishing?

Well a few weeks ago I bought an economy plus upgrade on a Boeing 747 as a birthday present for Logan (and for me to keep him company). I regard it as a very decadent act. While Italy sinks and decays we engage in a bacchanale profiting of the additional five inches of pitch and one inch of recline.

This is how I picture myself flying economy plus.
