As much as I appreciate a dark, menacing Prospero, I loved Roger Allam’s fatherly variation at the Globe. It was fresh, sweet, and in tune with the lively Miranda and a vulnerable Ariel.
Maybe I should have given Merlin a try, it turns out that Colin Morgan is rather good after all. And who is this Joshua James bloke playing Ferdinand? I must have seen him somewhere. He’s brilliant anyway.
