I Saw the Peregrines with the RSPB

Every summer since the peregrines have started perching on the chimney of the Tate Modern in London, the RSPB is in the gardens with telescopes for the public.

The resident peregrine falcons, Misty and Houdini, nest on the other side of the River Thames somewhere close to St. Paul’s, so last August I decided to climb Wren’s double dome to get the peregrines’ view and then I visited the RSPB tent.

Houdini was sleeping on the brickwork of the chimney, all ruffled feathers.
