In going to see Shot! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock at the cinema I was expecting a mostly visual experience, in tune with a massive soundtrack. But when Mick Rock himself started narrating his own story, born in London, educated at Cambridge, I knew I was in for something different.

It’s Mick Rock’s voice that leads us through the years of rock, with the simple help of two old cassette tapes, one a chat with Bowie, the other with Lou Reed.

You could literally just listen to this film.
